This past Spring, my first graders decided they wanted to make a "comic book." Around the same time, my school district was seeking applicants for an Elementary Media Festival. The application required that the students make something using technology- a video, a digital story, etc.
They decided that their goal would be to make something that would help other students learn. We had just finished learning about compound words, and thus The Adventures of Compound Word Man was born.
Although the video may seem sweet and simple, it is the product of a lot of hard work and collaboration by 5 creative first grade students. Our biggest wish is that the video will be used to help other students learn about compound words in a fun way, so if you show our video, please comment below! Thank you!
